All equipment necessary for a defined measuring procedure. This includes the sensors and components used to distribute, store and process the signals.
The respective system structure is specified through the measuring and analysis process. In the case of digital signal processing, the necessary software (processing algorithm, models, control of the measuring processes, amongst others) is also part of the sensor system. The output signal (system signal) is tailored to the needs of the parent systems.
