The ROVO robotic platform is a fully electric track-mounted drive system designed specifically for off-highway use. The agile chassis is equipped with a powerful drive and the in-house exchangeable battery. It is already optimally prepared in the standard version for attachments and superstructures of various kinds and can be optimally adapted to your needs through a wide range of options. Extensions to the hardware and software have already been developed by partner companies.

What makes the ROVO so special?

Compact power pack

With 1,000 Nm peak torque, up to 30km/h speed and a possible 100% incline, the ROVO is one of the top performers in its class. With the battery pack type EP088 from HAWE Mattro, it can be operated continuously for up to 4 hours and at the same time is highly resilient. The charging times are between 2.5 (fast) and 4 (standard) hours. We also offer the matching charger. With its compact dimensions and low weight (incl. battery: 290 kg), the ROVO can be easily transported to the site of operation on a trailer. Robust construction

The ROVO was developed for off highway use and thus for the highest load capacity. Both the hardware components and the software systems with high intrinsic safety have already proven themselves in extreme applications. The ROVO is fully operational at temperatures from -20°C to +40°C, has protection class IP65 and a chassis made of high-strength steel. At the same time, the sprung chassis and precise manoeuvrability ensure a safe ride. Two variants are available: Performance and Heavy Duty, which can be individually configured.

Standardised interfaces

Its sophisticated design and numerous interfaces in hardware and software make the ROVO the ideal platform for rapid prototyping. For example, a CAN bus interface is implemented for external control. The professional components and the power electronics designed to automotive standards are an indispensable basis when it comes to series production. We deliver the ROVO ex works with radio remote control as standard. However, you can also upgrade it to an autonomous vehicle and have it designed for gesture control or teleoperation. Our partners have already developed proven solutions for this.
