Biggest difference for the same output signal when travelling across the full signal range (i.e. forwards and backwards). Hysteresis values are expressed as a percentage of the max. signal value (Figure H 31).
With measuring apparatus, a distinction is made between positive (increasing the value) and negative hysteresis.
