Design element that on piston pumps supports the piston at the sliding surface (swash plate, raceway).
To reduce the contact force and therefore the friction the slipper is designed such that it can act like a hydraulic bearing (hydrostatic relief).
The hydrostatic pressure necessary for this purpose is fed to the slipper from the pressure side via a bore in the piston (Figure G 23).
