Hydraulic circuit which is predominantly used in mobile hydraulics. Its distinguishing feature is how the directional valves connected one behind the other in the centre position for the oil flow are open, which means the full pump delivery flow from the constant pump passes through all the valves.
Very high flow losses can occur with open centre systems.
Opposite: closed centre system.
