Abstract:
Hydraulic drives have the highest power density of any type of drive. In addition, they can perform simple, logical switching operations entirely without electronics or electrically operated valve technology. This makes them attractive for many applications. In particular, operations that do not require high force for the entire duration benefit from so-called two-stage actuators. This white paper explores the advantages of these actuators, how they work, and what possible technical solutions look like.
