Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) at HAWE

Economic, ecological and social sustainability is part of HAWE's corporate responsibility. The corporate principles, the matrix certification (ISO 14001, ISO 45001 & ISO 50001) as well as the certification according to ISO 9001 symbolize the way of thinking of the group of companies. HAWE's quality management system sets standards that are valid for the entire HAWE Group worldwide.

In addition, HAWE began in 2008 to develop and implement an environmental and energy management system as well as an occupational health and safety system.

Sustainable earnings, a healthy equity base and long-term thinking in corporate management secure jobs and relationships with business partners in the long term.

Global Compact

HAWE has been a member of the Global Compact since 2011 and is thus committed to human rights, labour standards and environmental protection. The Global Compact is a pact of the United Nations (UNO) with the aim of making globalisation socially and ecologically more appropriate.

Zero Waste

Started as an internal project at HAWE Hydraulik, interested companies will exchange concrete measures and future ideas for the avoidance of disposable materials in a regular network meeting.

Skilled workers for Africa

HAWE trainees build training models and train African specialists in hydraulics on site in Botswana. With this project, the company is participating in the VDMA's training initiative for skilled workers in Africa in order to increase industrial added value in African countries.

Turning trash into building blocks for children's futures

HAWE Hydraulik supports UNICEF in Côte d'Ivoire. Through the cooperation with the Colombian company "Conceptos Plásticos", a recycling market is being set up which converts plastic waste into durable and cost-effective building materials in order to create new classrooms for 2 million children.

Bavarian Environmental Pact

HAWE has been a member of the "Umweltpakt Bayern" since the beginning of 2019 and is thus committed to a voluntary environmental performance.

Further projects at HAWE

The support for a 400 year old monastery with the participation in the initiative "Friends of the Reutberg Monastery" or the promotion of young people with educational disadvantages due to their origin. HAWE is committed to various types of projects in order to strengthen society and preserve the environment.

Special projects in Kaufbeuren

Here you can find an overview about special projects in our plant in Kaufbeuren. For example, the green areas around the Kaufbeuren plant are grazed by sheep and bees ensure sufficient pollination of the surrounding areas.

Initiatives at HAWE North America

HAWE North America participates in various social and environmental projects. For example, the company is a member of the National Waste & Recycling Association. At the same time, organisations such as March of Dimes, 335 Heart, Habitat for Humanity, the Levine Cancer Institute and many others are supported.
