Parameters for the behaviour of elastomer materials in different hydraulic fluids that can range from shrinkage, through slight swelling, to complete dissolution of the elastomer.
If the DVI of the intended hydraulic fluid is known, with the aid of diagrams it is possible to determine the expected volume change (Figure D 20).
