October 30, 2025, Schwaz, Austria. With ROVO, HAWE Hydraulik has successfully established the third generation of its proven robot platform on the market, enabling a wide range of off-road applications. Intelligent application solutions are being implemented in collaboration with experienced partner companies, particularly in agriculture. The ROVO is thus making a decisive contribution to the transformation away from ever larger machines with higher area coverage toward the autonomous use of several smaller machines in a fleet network.

The drive platform is "Made in Austria." It measures 1.20 x 1.20 m and weighs only 300 kg. This compact powerhouse can transport up to 500 kg of payload and travel at speeds of up to 30 km/h, even on rough terrain. With its 1,000 Nm peak torque, it easily masters uneven ground and extreme gradients and inclines of up to 100%.

A special feature is the built-in IEP battery pack from our own production, which ensures a long range. Thanks to its design as a removable battery with a plug-in system, it can be changed within two minutes without tools. This means that the range can be extended as desired.

The latest generation of lithium-ion batteries has a capacity of 11.3 kWh. This powers not only the fully electric drive train, but also external attachments. External power supplies with 12, 24, 48, or 96 volts are available. Four hours of continuous operation or a range of 40 km are possible, depending on the application.

A radio remote control is available as an option for the ROVO. Alternatively, it can be precisely controlled externally via the standard integrated CAN interface. Various optional additional equipment is available for the ROVO, which can be selected depending on the application requirements. This allows the product to be optimally prepared for the desired functions and application scenarios. Mini-hydraulic drives for necessary attachments can be integrated into the ROVO's universal platform in a space-saving manner.

Many options are available for automation solutions in agricultural applications, which have been configured for many years by established partner companies. These range from GPS waypoint navigation and teleoperation to autonomous operation. In collaboration with these partners, the ROVO is already being used in a wide variety of exciting areas of application. These range from herbicide application and weed control in vineyards to mowing green spaces and simultaneous monitoring of PV modules in solar parks. Further applications are being developed and tested in numerous research projects.

HAWE Hydraulik will be presenting ROVO at Agritechnica in Hanover from November 9 to 15, 2025, at booth 16C11.
