Kaufbeuren/Germany, September 24, 2024- HAWE Hydraulik celebrated the tenth anniversary of its production site in Kaufbeuren in September. The plant management surprised the workforce with a reception on the red carpet and presented gifts, including honey from the region. The site in the Allgäu region is the company‘s largest plant in the international production network and plays a central role in the production of its top-selling product, the proportional directional spool valve type PSL. These hydraulic valves are used in mobile machinery such as construction machinery, municipal vehicles as well as forestry and agricultural machinery.
Increasing the number of cycles and saving energy and resources at the same time do not have to be mutually exclusive. With dynamic servo drives, efficient control solutions and integrated solutions, HAWE Hydraulik offers the ideal modular system for machines in sheet metal working. At Euroblech in Hanover, the latest optimisations and particularly advantageous concepts in system design will be discussed.
On June 14 and 15, 2024, HAWE Hydraulik celebrated its 75th anniversary with customers, partners and employees at the Kaufbeuren plant. The very well-attended events were full of highlights and exciting discussions.
The PDU (Power Distribution Unit) of HAWE Mattro is an intelligent power distribution system with integrated multistring battery management for battery packs and battery systems. It connects all batteries with the actuators and actively manages the batteries with its integrated battery control unit. Thus it serves as a link between the battery system and the machine system. In addition, all information on the condition of the individual batteries is aggregated and displayed as a single, large battery via the CAN bus. This significantly relieves the central machine controls.
IEP stands for Intelligent Energy Pack. And these are the ready-to-use battery packs with integrated battery management, pre-charging unit, shut-off unit and thermal management. The battery packs are designed for single or parallel operation and are used in all mobile machines. They consist of interconnected lithium-ion cells (type NMC, NMCA) or lithium iron phosphate cells (LFP) and are characterized by a high degree of integrated functions. HAWE Mattro develops and produces the battery packs in Schwaz, Tyrol and also offers chargers, power distribution units (PDU) and cages for a quick-change system.
75 years ago, on 15th February 1949, the company "Heilmeier und Weinlein" was entered into the commercial register of the district court in Munich. At that time, it employed nine people, including the two founding fathers, the engineer Karl Heilmeier and the businessman Wilhelm Weinlein. This marked the beginning of what HAWE Hydraulik is today - a globally active company with 2770 employees and a worldwide turnover of over 500 million euros. Even today, after 75 years of company history, it is an independent family business that proudly combines its tradition with a lot of innovative spirit.
