Modular design of control systems
A variation on the principle of functional block design whereby certain functional tasks are grouped together in blocks which may also be arranged at different positions at the machine (e.g. rapid tra
Pre-load valve
Pressure valve , which maintains a pressure before its inlet that is normally adjustable using a spring (e.g. to maintain a dynamic pressure).
Secondary pressure
Pressure in an auxiliary circuit fed by the main circuit of a system, in which the pressure is lower than the primary pressure . This is generally achieved using a pressure-reducing valve .
Phosphate ester
Fire-resistant hydraulic fluid based on esters of phosphates. It belongs to the group known as HFD fluids ; its fire resistance is can be explained by its molecular structure.
Cold flow
Some elastic materials, particularly thermoplastics , become deformed in their cold (normal) state when under a load. This means elastic deformation and therefore elastic tension start to decline.
Filter surface
Total area of the filter element that is subjected to the flow rate. To make this area as large as possible with given filter dimensions, the majority of are folded.
Through piston rod
Piston with piston rod on both sides, mostly of the same size. The term synchronizing cylinder is used.
Control technology
Collective term for all measures, rules and laws required to construct a control . This applies both to controls in signalling and to controls in terms of power.
Program library
Collection of programs for constantly repeated operations (e.g. individual mathematical operations). The program library also contains all user-specific programs or those made available by the manufac
Valve assembly systems
Over the years, several different processes have been developed for the spatial arrangement of the valves ( controls ) in a system, some of which still exist side by side. In hydraulics: A distinction
