Hydro-mechanical system
Interaction between mechanical actuations and hydraulic amplification (e.g. pump adjustment , copying system ).
Displacement control
hydraulic drive element is controlled by changing the geometric displacement of a pump or motor . This includes the pump control (Figure V 10 a) and secondary adjustment of a hydraulic motor (b) in the
Leakage compensation
compensating for any oil leaking out. This is achieved, for example, using a pump with a pressure controller or a small pump or even a hydraulic accumulator , with the dimensions of both reflecting the
Open centre system
the other in the centre position for the oil flow are open, which means the full pump delivery flow from the constant pump passes through all the valves . Very high flow losses can occur with open centre
Accumulator consumption diagram
flow rate of the pump (= usable volume V N). To assess the flow requirements per working cycle, it is practical to create an accumulator consumption diagram ( Figure S 69 ). The pump must be selected with [...] before the end of the working cycle: The factor k (approx. 1.25) serves to relieve the burden on the pump during part of the working cycle.
Suction line
Line connected to the intake port of a hydraulic pump or compressor and permits the transport of hydraulic fluid.
Circulation losses in hydraulic systems
hydraulic systems normally need the pump to continue running even if its flow rate is not needed at that time, e.g. in the loading phase of a working cycle. The pump is then switched to circulation, i.e [...] control - which is not always without losses, as in addition to the internal idling losses in the pump, there are also flow and pressure losses, which the flow rate causes on its way through the idle [...] These circulation losses can be almost completely avoided by using a pressure/flow control for the pump.
Single circuit system
The drive contains only one pump that provides its flow rate to one or also more loads. Opposite: multi-circuit systems
Flushing a system
As with this process, the system pump is completely exposed to contamination, it is recommended to use a flushing power pack with its own pump (normally a gear pump) for the flushing. In addition, separate
Output volume
Volume displaced by a stroke or other cycle on all displacement elements on a displacement unit (pump/motor) during one revolution of the drive shaft. The output volume is generally stated in cm 3 . Geometric [...] play or deformation. Effective output volume : Quotient of effective delivery flow of a hydraulic pump Q and the rotation speed n of the drive shaft.
