Digitalization Strategist Gerhard Borho Appointed to the Supervisory Board of HAWE Hydraulik SE

Munich, June 2, 2026 - Gerhard Borho was appointed to the Supervisory Board by the Annual General Meeting of HAWE Hydraulik SE in April, effective immediately. The board now consists of five members.

“With Gerhard Borho, our family-owned company is gaining an experienced industry and digitalization expert with extensive international leadership experience,” says Karl Haeusgen, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of HAWE Hydraulik SE. With his many years of expertise in strategy development and product management, Borho is expected to support the company in further advancing its strategic goals.

Gerhard Borho served on the Executive Board of Festo, a leading manufacturer of control and automation technology, until 2025. There, he was responsible for the areas of digitalization and IT, as well as previously for finance and IT. In these roles, he drove the company’s strategic development, digitalization strategy, and international orientation. 

Other career milestones at Festo led Gerhard Borho to senior positions in the areas of strategy, product management, and operational business responsibility. He also worked in strategic consulting at the Boston Consulting Group and at the automotive manufacturer Daimler-Benz (now Mercedes-Benz).

Dr. Ansgar Kriwet has resigned from the Supervisory Board of HAWE Hydraulik SE for personal reasons. “On a personal note, and on behalf of the entire Supervisory and Executive Boards, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Dr. Kriwet for his dedication to HAWE Hydraulik. With his personality, his high level of technical expertise, and his responsible leadership, he has played a decisive role in shaping the company’s development. In particular, his active involvement in the strategy process has provided valuable impetus for the company’s direction,” emphasizes Karl Haeusgen.

The Supervisory Board of HAWE Hydraulik SE is thus composed of the following five members:
