Collective term for pumps and devices, which work according to the hydrodynamic principle, i.e. in which the velocity element of the flowing fluid is decisive. For pumps, these are the centrifugal pumps and the turbines, hydrodynamic (Foettinger) converters, couplings, amongst others, for gears.
