Spring assisted sealing elements

A sleeve made of certain elastomers (e.g. fluoroplastics) contains a spring made of stainless steel that provides defined, constant sealing forces (Figure F 2).

Spring assisted sealing elements are used for requirements that cannot be addressed using conventional elastomers. With fluoroplastics they can withstand temperatures from –200°C to +250°C and are resistant to aggressive media.
