Piston for rapid traverse

To obtain a higher rapid forward movement speed v E with the pump designed for the operating speed, a piston with the area

is arrange in the main piston and switched such that pressure is only applied to it when the rapid forward movement is at an end. For this purpose it must be ensured that the main piston can draw in unpressurised oil during forward movement (Figure E 2).
