Flow valves

Valves for the control or feedback control of a flow rate. They are therefore used to control the velocity of cylinders and motors.

A differentiation is made between:

Throttle valves, which are pressure-controlled. The flow rate Q is dependent on pressure difference Δ p of the throttle point.

Drosselventil

Flow control valves, which are not pressure-controlled. The flow rate Q remains largely constant even at different load pressures. The flow rate control, which is independent of load pressure, is achieved by means of an additional control throttle (pressure compensator).
