Aschheim, 12th October 2026 - The requirements for energy efficiency and sustainability are driving the development of servo-hydraulic drive concepts in forming technology. With new servomotor pump units and modular plug-and-play solutions, HAWE Hydraulik now offers servo-based drive solutions for all hydraulic control concepts of press brakes. Machine manufacturers benefit from lower energy consumption, reduced heat generation and easy integration into existing machine concepts.
“Servo-hydraulic drives combine the high power density of hydraulics with the dynamics and energy efficiency of electric drive technology. Compared to systems with a constantly running asynchronous motor, the power is provided as needed. The core of the solution is the PLMhybrid pump power module. The compact unit combines a servomotor, internal gear pump, pressure filter and valve block in one system. This reduces installation effort and enables a space-saving design. At the same time, the demand-based power supply ensures lower power consumption and reduced oil heating.
The latest development of the PLMhybrid has been specially adapted to the requirements of modern servo technology. The system is available as a complete plug-and-play solution including the appropriate control blocks. Thanks to the modular principle, both standard machines and customer-specific projects can be implemented efficiently.
With the new servo-based solutions for valve-controlled press brakes, HAWE Hydraulik is closing the gap between classic hydraulic press control systems and the already established ePRAX® positive displacement control systems. Manufacturers can retain their proven control concepts and at the same time take advantage of the advantages of modern servo technology.
