Copying attachment

Machine controls whereby the tool follows the instructions taken from a template (or a sample workpiece) (Figure K 31). The core element of a copying attachment during mechanical sampling is the copying valve and during electrical sampling is a high response proportional valve. With single-axis copying, only the transverse axis is actuated hydraulically, while the longitudinal axis is actuated via the feed spindle. With double-axis copying, both axis directions are actuated hydraulically (cross slides).
