Abstract:
Cleaning rakes clear floating material from the racks in the water of a hydroelectric power plant in order to utilize the maximum water throughput rate for energy generation. Depending on the requirements and size of the plant, single trash-rack cleaners with telescopic and articulated arms or fully automatic dredging trash-rack cleaners are used. The hydraulic solutions for controlling the main functions differ in response to the demands on precision and robustness.
