Are electromechanical actuators more compact?

The HAWE ResQ-Lift offers very high force density thanks to its hydraulic system. In terms of power-to-weight ratio, the system is smaller and lighter than electromechanical actuators, delivering up to 27 kN while weighing less than 6 kg.

Are electromechanical actuators faster and more dynamic?

Electromechanical actuators are limited in speed and dynamics by self-locking screws. The HAWE ResQ-Lift enables high speed and dynamics through direct force transmission and hydraulically dampens shock loads.

Are electromechanical actuators cheaper to purchase?

Electromechanical actuators become significantly more expensive for medium to high loads. The HAWE ResQ-Lift scales hydraulically via the piston area and is more cost-effective at high forces—ideal for rescue stretchers.

Are electromechanical actuators quieter?

Electromechanical actuators are often quieter, but hydraulic systems can also operate quietly when properly designed. The HAWE ResQ-Lift ensures quiet operation.

Are electromechanical actuators safer because, for example, loads are held via a (motor) brake?

Electromechanical actuators hold loads using wear-prone brakes. The HAWE ResQ-Lift holds the load and position without power via wear-free, closed valves.

Are electromechanical actuators better—since there is no risk of leakage?

Electromechanical actuators have no risk of leakage, but they contain more wear-prone components. The HAWE ResQ-Lift uses a closed hydraulic system, and leakage is undetectable with proper maintenance.

Are electromechanical actuators more resistant to contamination?

The HAWE ResQ-Lift features a closed hydraulic circuit. The product is easy to maintain, resistant to contamination, and designed to IPX6 standards.

Do electromechanical actuators have a higher duty cycle?

Many electromechanical actuators are limited to a duty cycle of about 10%. The HAWE ResQ-Lift enables significantly higher duty cycles.
