Resonance

Designates the oscillation of a system capable of oscillation, which is linked to another or is otherwise periodically stimulated. In the case of poorly damped systems close to the natural frequency, the resonance amplifies the oscillation amplitude, which may lead to self-destruction, even at lower power.

In fluid technology, the resonance is primarily of importance for systems with feedback () and in the case of sound generation.
