Rolling vane motor

Special form of vane machines, in which six "vanes" (sealing edges) are placed on the rotor. Sealing between the suction and pressure chamber is performed by four synchronous-running sealing rotors (Figure R 32).

As there is only rolling friction –– which requires highly precise manufacturing –– the hydraulic-mechanical efficiency factor becomes very high, enabling very slow turning movements. In contrast, the volumetric efficiency is only moderate due to the line sealing on all sides. The rolling vane motor is therefore primarily used in control circuits.
