This year HAWE Hydraulik comes to Hamburg with a significantly expanded product range. Through a company acquisition in March 2022, in addition to the established hydraulic solutions, innovative solutions for pitch control and interesting offers for lifetime extension or retrofit of wind turbines are now offered. Through local value creation and sustainable manufacturing, we help you reduce the carbon footprint of your turbines.

Here is a brief overview of selected HAWE products at AMB 2022:

Hydraulic pitch module

With a hydraulic pitch drive, the angles of the rotor blades are adjusted using hydraulic cylinders. This optimizes the energy yield and at the same time reduces the mechanical load on the wind turbine, which extends its service life.

The HAWE pitch module consists of the cylinders, hydraulic accumulators, control blocks with a highly dynamic and precise proportional valve, directional and pressure valves. If required, it is supplemented by the necessary piping, hoses and fittings as plug&play solution.

Standard power unit for centralized control

The standard power pack type FXU with it large hydraulic tank is the perfect drive unit for the pitch module. In order to shorten design and delivery times, a great deal of attention is paid to standardized components and processes.

Fast completion of individual design is possible due to configuration from the modular system. Customer-specific documentation with EPlan-Fluid and Step-Model are available.

Decentralized control unit for rotor brake and rotor lock

Due to their small dimensions, the compact power packs type KA and CPU are ideally suited for a decentralized arrangement directly at the rotor brake or the rotor lock of the wind turbine. Long tubing connections with correspondingly high costs and installation efforts can thus be avoided.

This is particularly important as the distances between the hydraulic consumers also increase with increasing plant size. The power units can be equipped with all function modules and are thus a very flexible solution.

Pitch control block

Directional seated valves are leak-free in the locked position. When used in brake modules the applied brake pressure remains securely maintained. No need for the pump to be turned on at intervals or for an accumulator that must cover the pressure losses. This means that even during a complete power failure, the operating pressure is kept constant up to seven days.
