HAWE eControl wins Automation App Award 2016

The HAWE eControl app allows password-protected access to proportional solenoids, wirelessly via a Bluetooth interface. This makes start-up operation, querying of live values and copying of settings to other proportional valves effortless and fast. The idea and the implementation were now honored with the Automation App Award 2016.

At the SPS IPC Drives 2016, the magazine elektrotechnik honoured the best apps for automation in the categories of engineering and production with an award. The preselection was done by a five-person jury. HAWE eControl was part of the Engineering category. Afterwards it went into the open voting by the readers. The evaluation of the apps focused on security. This is how HAWE eControl is convincing with this issue by assigning an individual password to each individual control. This prevents unintended access to the hardware. Only by entering the appropriate password a connection can be established to the controller. Overall, HAWE eControl shortens the duration of start-up operation, prevents long machine downtimes and promotes the continuous improvement process of the application through continuous, direct feedback.

The app is available for free in the App Store for iOS and the Google Play Store for Android.
