Wolfgang Sochor is a member of the Board of Management of Munich-based HAWE Hydraulik SE and in charge of Production. He has been with the company since 1998. Until 2001 he was head of production and also member of the management team of HAWE Hydraulik GmbH & Co. KG. In 2002 he became a member of the management team. With the company's conversion into a European Stockholding Company in September 2008 he became a member on the Board of Management. Next to this task since 1998 he has also held the post as General Manager of Schienle Magnettechnik GmbH, Salem/Neufrach, a subsidiary of HAWE Hydraulik.
He held senior positions in the pharmaceutics and mechanical engineering industry already prior to joining HAWE Hydraulik. From 1994 to 1998 he worked in Quito, Ecuador as commercial director for the sales and production company GRÜNENTHAL Ecuatoriana C. LTDA. and TECNANDINA SSA. He oversaw the establishment of a production platform for South America and signed responsible for both companies’ controlling, finances, IT and logistics divisions.
One year after joining MAHO AG, Pfronten, he assumed the commercial management in 1990 of the sales and production subsidiary in Naugatuck/Connecticut, USA. In this position he built up the local production capacities with in-house manufacturing and assembly. His other tasks included the introduction of a cost calculation system. From 1992 to 1994 he worked as commercial head of the new production plants in Wertach and Kempten overseeing, among other things, the start-up and commissioning of the plant in Kempten.
After graduation as industrial engineer he started his professional career with Horten AG, Kempten, with the successful completion of a commercial apprenticeship.
Wolfgang Sochor is married with two children.
