HAWE Hydraulik SE has had the external EHS audit (Environment, Health and Safety) carried out in Munich (headquarters) and Freising in mid-November 2017.
During the examination by the external certification organization Intechnica Cert GmbH from Nuremberg the certification according to the new ISO 14001: 2015 (Environmental Management) was the focus. In the further development of this standard, they emphazised the consideration of the company as a whole. This means that within the audit not only individual processes are considered and evaluated, but also the entire business model with all its opportunities and risks as well as external influences such the associated supply chain and environmental influences.
Compliance with the energy management standard ISO 50001: 2011 and the occupational health and safety management system OHSAS 18001 were also reviewed at the prescribed annual frequency.
This passed matrix certification is valid for all production sites including the headquarters of HAWE Hydraulik SE in Germany and thus proves that the criteria of all the management systems mentioned above can be met without deviation across locations. In addition to the successful conversion to ISO 14001: 2015, Dr. Beer of Intechnica especially pointed out the administration of the EHS targets over the Intranet as well as the
participation and work of HAWE Hydraulik on the LEEN networks (Learning Energy Efficiency Networks). Since 2010, more than 7,500 MWh of energy and 2,000 t of CO2 have already been saved.
